To qualify, simply apply and get pre-qualified between August 1 and October 31, 2025. Once you’re pre-qualified, your $500 credit is locked in for 18 months, giving you time to close on your home before May 1, 2027.

We designed the Heart & Home Project to be as inclusive as possible. Anyone who works in the education field — at any level from daycare to college — can qualify for the $500 homebuyer credit. This includes teachers, school administrators, university faculty, counselors, paraprofessionals, librarians, bus drivers, janitors, daycare providers, and more.
Spouses of educators also qualify, even if the educator isn’t planning to be on the mortgage. In that case, just provide simple proof of employment, like a recent pay stub or W-2 form, and we’ll take care of the rest.
To receive the $500 credit toward your closing costs, you just need to apply and get pre-qualified with Treadstone between August 1 and October 31, 2025. Once pre-qualified, your credit is locked in for 18 months, giving you time to find and close on your home before May 1, 2027.
This credit will be applied directly to your closing costs, which reduces what you need to bring to the table. It can help cover typical fees like appraisal, title services, underwriting, and more. No problem! If you’re an educator who’s not quite ready to purchase or refinance a home, you can still benefit from this offer. As long as you apply and get pre-qualified during the promotion window (August 1–October 31, 2025), your $500 credit will be locked in for 18 months. Still plenty of time to prepare, search, and close before May 1, 2027.
