To qualify, simply apply and get pre-qualified between January 1 and March 31, 2026. Once you’re pre-qualified, your $500 credit is locked in for 18 months, giving you time to close on your home before October 1, 2027.

We designed the Heart & Home Project to be as inclusive as possible. Anyone who works in the healthcare field — from clinical care and therapy roles to administrative, support, and operations staff — can qualify for the $500 homebuyer credit in Michigan.
Spouses of healthcare employees also qualify, even if their spouse isn’t planning to be on the mortgage. In that case, just provide simple proof of employment, like a recent pay stub or W-2 form, and we’ll take care of the rest.

As long as you apply and get pre-qualified during the promotion window (January 1–March 31, 2026), your $500 credit will be locked in for 18 months. Still plenty of time to prepare, search, and close before October 1, 2027.
