Chad Scherer

After beginning his career in the mortgage industry a decade ago, Chad found Treadstone in 2015 and knew it was where he wanted to be. He was originally in mortgage sales and has worked in several other roles since, mastering just about every side of the business. As a Loan Officer for Treadstone, this extensive experience serves him well and allows him to effectively communicate the ins-and-outs of the process.

Chad’s hands-on working style and attention to detail gives his clients confidence as they navigate the mortgage process and search for their first home, dream home, investment home, or anything in between. He strives to make the process so seamless that his clients can say, “I didn’t know getting a mortgage was this easy!”

Originally from Fowlerville, Michigan, Chad moved to Grand Rapids when he attended Grand Valley in the late 2000s. Even though he enjoyed the small town of nature of Fowlerville, he always wanted to move to the city and loves all Grand Rapids has to offer. Personally, Chad’s passions revolve around his family and friends, and advancing the cause for Ewing Sarcoma. As a survivor of this rare cancer, working with families who have been affected by it is near and dear to his heart. 

Having recently sold his home, and then purchased and extensively remodeled a new home with his girlfriend, Chad understands the power of homeownership and connects with what his buyers are going through. That said, his new home is his oasis, so when Chad isn’t working, you can find them soaking in the spoils of their abode together. Chad also enjoys watching sports, cooking, and spending as much time with friends and family as he can!
