Treadstone Mortgage fthb MSHDA First Time Home Buyer Grant | Free $3,000 5,000 Credit for first time home buyers in Michigan

Here’s how it works:

The $15 million in free first time home buyer money is available because of a settlement against the big banks. Each state can allocate the funds differently and Michigan is allocating it all to help first time home buyers.

Any first time home buyer can request these funds until they run out. To qualify you must not have owned a house within the past three years. The home you purchase must be a single family, owner occupied, principal residence.

Service members may qualify for upto $5000 while others may qualify for $3000 or 25% of their home purchase whichever is less.

The First Step to claiming your $3,000-$5000 is to click here and apply. Once you qualify and then find the home for you, the credit will be applied*.

As cheesy as it sounds, this program will not last long. Please call Treadstone Funding today to pre qualify and get upto $5000 in free money towards your first home purchase. If you know anyone that might be buying in the next couple months please have them call today.  616-774-9160

    How can we get this?

  2. Good Afternoon,
This is going to be our first time as home buyers in the year 2012. We are currently 21 years old and have only been married for 9 months and have already put in an offer for our first home. We should be closing within the next few weeks. We are really looking forward to owning a home for the first time. We haev been saving for months and this extra 3,000 would be a great cusion for my wife and myself. I look forward to owning a home and moving in within the next few week. This extra money would truly be a blessing for us at this time in our life. Thank you so much.

My Husband and I have a closing in two weeks and need closing cost. We have already been approved just need the down payment. We are veterans and would like to know if you still have funds available please contact ASAP if you can help.

This would really be a blessing and a dream come true..

    • Unfortunately we can only help if you are about to start the mortgage process as we are a mortgage company. There are funds still available but your mortgage company has to put in the paper work once you have the clear to close.

  10. Greetings! Very helpful advice within this article! It’s the little changes which will make the most significant changes. Thanks a lot for sharing!

  11. Allison says:

Hello I received this grant two years ago when I bought my first home. We are now looking to move. Is there a certain number if years we are required to live in the home before we move so we are not required to pay back the loan?

    • Hi Allison– the MSHDA $3,000 grant from 2 years ago does not have to be paid back. This should not be confused with the MSHDA Down Payment Assistance program which does. I will email you to clarify which loan type you used and get you a more exact answer.
