If you are about to be a first time home buyer or are a Realtor who helps first time home buyers please call us today so we can help you get the new MSHDA $3000 grant before it runs out. The State of Michigan is only funding around $15 million dollars meaning that this program is only likely to be here for a month or less.
**UPDATE: As of 3/25/2013 there was only $3million left in funds. There are over likely over 1000 people with applications for the grant waiting to be fulfilled meaning that it is likely that the MSHDA grant has unfortunately come to an end, or will shortly this week. We still have great mortgage programs out there so click here to inquire about options that are still available**
Here’s how it works:
The $15 million in free first time home buyer money is available because of a settlement against the big banks. Each state can allocate the funds differently and Michigan is allocating it all to help first time home buyers.
Any first time home buyer can request these funds until they run out. To qualify you must not have owned a house within the past three years. The home you purchase must be a single family, owner occupied, principal residence.
Service members may qualify for upto $5000 while others may qualify for $3000 or 25% of their home purchase whichever is less.
The First Step to claiming your $3,000-$5000 is to click here and apply. Once you qualify and then find the home for you, the credit will be applied*.
As cheesy as it sounds, this program will not last long. Please call Treadstone Funding today to pre qualify and get upto $5000 in free money towards your first home purchase. If you know anyone that might be buying in the next couple months please have them call today. 616-774-9160
**The grant money is on a first come first serve basis. Once the money runs out its gone until a new program replaces it.
